You drive down your neighborhood street, see this billboard and:
A. Get excited to see the film, in spite of it’s obvious predictability;
B. Feel nothing;
C. Decide to spend $12+ to see this film instead of eating a decent, healthy meal;
D. Know that stupid moms will be taking their young children to the theater to see it
It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.–

There is a point where the horror films just don’t make any sense.
Rome began its displays of gladiatorial combat with capable and trained warriors fighting each other in skilled combat. That slowly degenerated into bloody scenes design designed titillate sadists. If our movies are any indication, there is no reason to believe the same sort of thing cannot happen here.

I just could not get the quote out of my head the second I saw that poster. It’s an honest reflection of where we are a society….
